WHere WE’RE staying
In Stockholm, we’ll be staying at Ett Hem: blending luxury and intimacy, making it feel more like a stylish home than a hotel. It was named "Best Hotel in the World" by Tatler in 2018, and consistently appears on Condé Nast Traveler’s prestigious Gold List . With its beautifully designed interiors, lush gardens, and personalized service, it’s the idyllic Scandinavian oasis and so chic it hurts!
For the second half of the trip, we’ll head to Smådalarö Gård: nestled in the breathtaking Stockholm archipelago & a dream destination for Midsummer! Picture yourself celebrating this magical holiday with scenic waterfront views, expansive green lawns, and the charm of Swedish countryside life. The hotel brings the Midsummer spirit to life with traditional maypole dancing, festive feasts of herring and strawberries, and outdoor activities like sailing and picnics. Surrounded by serene landscapes and immersed in centuries-old customs, Smådalarö Gård offers Swedish charm with modern luxury, featuring stylish rooms, a relaxing spa, and excellent dining options with locally sourced ingredients.

Our itineraries are thoughtfully designed to provide the perfect balance between engaging group activities and unstructured leisure time, allowing you to explore at your own pace. For instance, one day we might guide you through a fascinating walking tour of Stockholm, immersing you in its history and culture, while leaving your evening open to enjoy dinner independently or with fellow travelers. On other days, you might start with a relaxed morning to yourself, taking time to recharge or explore as you wish, before rejoining the group for an afternoon adventure or a memorable dinner together.

Rooms are priced at double occupancy (2 travelers per room). Please note that in Sweden, it is customary for bedding to be individual, but mattresses do not split.

UNIQUE CONSIDERATIONS FOR SWEDEN
You’re up for boat rides. We’ll be transferring to the archipeligo via a private boat! While the waters are generally smooth, those who are prone to sea sickness should proceed with caution.
You enjoy a wide range of food! While we do our best to accommodate dietary requirements, please note we’ll be making the most of the local cuisine (which is heavy into seafood… including more adventurous dishes like pickled herring playing a significant role during Midsummer festivities).
You’re happy to walk. Stockholm is a vibrant city that is best explored by foot. We’ll be doing plenty of walking during our three days in the city, so guests should be prepared and able.
You want to relax! When we head to the archipelago, there will be plenty of down time to relax, use the spa facilities and take in the simple beauty of a Swedish summer. While we’ll have plenty of activities available still, guests should anticipate this part of the trip being more relaxing at our beautiful waterside hotel.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If this trip needs to be cancelled for any COVID 19 reasons (see below) we will reschedule (or, your funds can be applied to a future Atlas Adventures trip):
- COVID related border closures prohibiting non-residents travel in /out of destination country
- Mandatory quarantine upon arrival to destination country
For any other cancellations, the Atlas Adventures standard cancellation policy can be viewed HERE. Travelers who want the option to cancel for personal reasons outside of COVID are advised to purchase additional travel insurance (which we can help you navigate!)
