MILAN & LAKE COMO

OCTOBER 4-9, 2024

For the first two nights of the trip, we’ll be staying in the heart of Milan at a charming luxury boutique hotel. We’ll share a chic Milanese aperitivo, dine at one of the top spots in the city & embark on a walking tour of the iconic sights (and hidden gems!)

From there, we’ll venture to Lake Como for three nights at one of the top hotels in the world: Grand Hotel Tremezzo! Opened in 1910 for Belle Epoque society elites, this iconic five-star hotel boasts panoramic views over Lake Como. We’ll enjoy all this stunning property has to offer (including their beautiful beach club & floating pool over the lake) as well as exploring the nearby town of Bellagio: rich in history & charm.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

Whitney,  our Founder & Managing director,  has long loved Italy & has visited dozens of times. She knows the destination well & always enjoys coming back. Her background as a Luxury Travel Advisor has facilitated direct relationships with the top hoteliers in the country, as well as a range of on the ground local partners.

Victoria, our Director of Trips, is married to an Italian and fluent in the local language. She’s lead multiple Atlas trips here and always enjoys further exploring her favorite country!

Both Victoria & Whitney are certified sommeliers who are excited to share their knowledge and passion for wine during our time in Italy. They can provide a range of other unique offerings to our travelers (including professional photography & teaching yoga). They pride themselves in creating authentic travel experiences that showcase the best of local culture, food & memorable experiences. Together, they’ve hosted dozens of Atlas trips and are so excited to once again combine their passion for travel and love of Italy!

WHAT WE’RE DOING

While you want the stress of planning left to us, we know you’ll want some free time to explore freely as well! Our itineraries are carefully crafted to give you a balance of the two each day. For example, one day we’ll guide you on a walking tour of Milan with the group, but then that evening you’ll have free time to dine at your restaurant of choice (or, sign up for an add-on group dinner). Other days you’ll have mornings to yourself and then the group will come together for afternoon activities or dinners together. But don’t worry… even with the free time you’re given, our team is here to equip you with plenty of additional opportunities to sign up for so you’re never short of things to do!
